Volunteering

We are currently the only organisation in Lambeth able to provide large scale and comprehensive volunteering opportunities with successful access to training and employment.

The Kids' City Volunteering Programme is currently providing over 70 local people with the opportunity to build confidence, gain skills and work experience and access to training.

In 2002 we completed the pilot National Volunteers Standard Quality Assurance Scheme with an overall score of 94%.

Volunteer at Kids' City to:

Make a difference
Volunteers are literally changing children's lives for the better. Whatever skills you can offer, we can use them.

Improve your chances of getting the job that you want
Volunteering on your CV is something employers respect and may give you another stepping stone towards your dream job. A survey by Timebank of 200 organisations showed that 94% of employees who volunteered to learn new skills had benefited either by getting their first job, improving their salary, or being promoted.

Build confidence and self esteem
Regular involvement in a team and doing positive work lifts the spirits and opens new pathways to success. Your involvement with Kids' City will make good conversation in any social situation.

Make new friends
With six social events a year, volunteers have lots of opportunity to meet new people and swap experiences.

Gain new skills
If you want to work with children, in administration, human resources, sports, arts, training, fundraising or accounts then we can provide valuable training and experience to match your ambitions
